I've recently been playing some C64 games using frodo and I wondered can you convert sid files to midi, as I would love to have some C64 music as a ringtone on my mobile B)

I tried looking for one when I saw your post, just so I can have platoon as a ringtone :)

Found this - sid2midi (btw, it only took less than a minute to find - does no-one know how to use google these days )

Unfortunatly the midi doesn't play on my siemens s55, and my trusty mmf convertor chokes when converting :(

Hoo?
What? sid2midi?
Geeez, does this really work?

I couldn't imagine, since midi is song data using instruments and sid files are just soundsynthesis-chip information without any song data in it...

It is convertable?

If you can hear the music it can be converted, sometimes not without lossof quality, but it can always be converted.

Platoon as a midi plays fine on the pc, just not on my mobile. Dizzy Prince of the Yolk Folk is almost perfect on the mobile (just a few drums seem to be missing), and Chuck Rock converts but sounds like a cat in severe pain  (I think I need to edit the midi, but I can't be bothered)

I've not tried any others yet.
