International Track and Field for the Playstation was good (as long as you have nimble fingers). Plug a cheat cartridge in and you can throw the javelin out of the stadium
My dad bought me a microswitched joystick just for that game. The normal ones were starting to make funny squeeky noises... kind of like plastic that's being heated up and then stretched to breaking point. I wonder why that was?
That microswitched joystick was the best arcade-style stick i've ever used.

I used to love Winter Olympics '88 on the Atari ST... It came free with my mate's STFM I think. There was a crap opening ceremony animation we used to hate, but I'd love to see again...
