Did i read this right??

If one deletes an app/rom a SD card it goes into the Pandora's NAND?

So to be sure the app is completely obliterated you press delete and shift?

Pete/Repeat...

I guess you could always test it with a soft delete and a further check to see what ends up in the recycle bin?

Thinking about it though, it must do.

With a boot from nand there is no other memory available for storing stuff.

I'm sure the recycle bin is of limited size though.

The method I use to do permanent deletions (bypassing the trash bin) is: Right-click on the offending item(s), navigate to Delete in the menu, then hold down Shift (or the "L" shoulder button, which is also Shift), and click on Delete. Works every time.

I made ~/Applications/Data/Trash a link to my SD card

Code:
rm -r ~/Applications/Data/Trash

ln -s ~/Applications/Data/Trash /media/Pandora/Trash

Thunar's trash can fulfills its purpose, and NAND doesn't get touched.

The only "problem" is that you can't delete files unless your SD card is inserted. I've never had a problem unmounting the card or anything like that, but Thunar hangs up trying to move the files if the SD card isn't available until you hit Cancel.

The only remaining concern is when you delete files off the second SD card. If your Trash is now on the first SD card, and you delete from the second, it'll move the deleted file from the second to the first. I'm still trying to figure out how to work around this.

Thanks all for the tip.

Worked swell 'going ,going,gone!!'

I use this solution from Mindlord, where a custom command can be added to Thunar to delete without using the trash.
