One of my 32 GB micro sdhc cards is not working anymore after I needed to use some force to get it out of my laptop (was transferring files for my Pandora).
I just tried to reformat the card with GParted, but it isn't even possible to create a new partition table.
error message : /dev/sdd: unrecognised disk label
Then I tried to low level format the card with dd:
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdd
dd: writing to `/dev/sdd': No space left on device
62689+0 records in
62688+0 records out
32096256 bytes (32 MB) copied, 11.9491 s, 2.7 MB/s
Didn't seem to help. The card still appears to be 32 MB and fails to be recognized. I guess it is a hardware issue and broken beyond repair, but maybe someone has another idea.
