Replacement LCD cable is kinky

I ordered a replacement LCD cable from Dragonbox, and it arrived last week.  I didn't have a chance to open it until today.  I wasn't expecting the double-bend in the part of the cable that gets curled into the hinge.  Is this normal, or should I ship this back for an exchange?

Could you take a picture or two of it from a different angle? - I can't really  see how bent it is from that one <_<

Looks pretty normal to me. If there are no broken traces, it should be fine.

But as I never replaced one myself, you would be better off with a confirmation from ED or Askarus.

I received a 'rev 5' cable two weeks ago from Ed's shop.

Check if your cable is a 'rev 5'. I attached a photo of mine. It has a black rubber tape where the loop goes. Older ones are grey.

Thanks, all.  dmarschal's photo tells me what I need to know - the crimping wasn't intentional, so it's going back.  One of the traces is pretty well bent and I don't fancy the idea of putting that area under the stress of twisting it up and leaving it that way inside the hinge.  It's a rev5; I ordered it just a couple weeks ago when the latest batch of cables came in.
