I have been transferring some files around whilst developing on the Pandora, and decided to see what speeds/reliability I get using all thirteen Wifi channels available on my Orange Livebox (router). My data is as follows (only ran a single file transfer of about 20 MB in each case, so take it with a pinch of salt):

Channel  1:  15 KB/s, 15-85 KB/s

Channel  2: 160 KB/s, 150-185 KB/s

Channel  3: 175 KB/s, no disconnects after using for quite a while

Channel  4: 150 KB/s, variable transfer speeds (20 - 200 KB/s)

Channel  5: 250 KB/s, somewhat variable transfer speeds upto 370 KB/s

Channel  6: 175 KB/s, variable, 100 KB/s - 300 KB/s, last few tests have been ~250 KB/s

Channel  7: 200 KB/s, somewhat variable, typically seems slower

Channel  8:  20 KB/s, very slow

Channel  9:  20 KB/s, file transfer stalls

Channel 10:  10 KB/s, can hardly even use SSH terminal it is so slow

Channel 11:  10 KB/s, file transfer stalls (signal quality 50/100)

Channel 12:  10 KB/s, file transfer stalls (signal quality 50/100)

Channel 13: 100 KB/s, 75-130 KB/s

For now I am sticking with channel 5, as it seems to be the best one, channel 6 was quite comparable, but seemed more variable, and overall a little slower. With other devices, in the same position as my Pandora (sitting next to the Pandora on a table), I get sustained transfer speeds over over 1 MB/s, I wondered if anyone has used a Wifi dongle that is considerably better than this? Or is there any tricks I can use to get a better speed? (Power management is switched off).
