Quick build of the Quasi88 PC8801 emulator.

It appears to work as much as it ever will.

Issues: No full screen option.

Download: http://repo.openpand...ail&app=quasi88

How to set it up:

1. Run Quasi88 once so that it creates the necessary folders.

2. Quit the app.

3. Acquire PC98 system roms (pc88 MESS roms will work) and place them in pandora/appdata/quasi88/rom

4. If you want the menus to be in japanese, skip to step 5. Otherwise, delete the roms that have the word kanji or kanj in their name.

5. Load the emulator again and press F12 to load your games.

Edit: any games that use any japanese characters need the kanji roms.

Thanks ^^

Can't test it yet (as I'm waiting for my GHZ Pandora), but I'm very happy to see another japanese computer emulator ;)

Forgot to cat the preview pic onto the pnd so here it is:

AAAaaaahhh! There are too many interesting old computers and stuff! I'm drowning in a sea of possibilities!!!

...which, of course, is a very good thing :D

Tnx a lot, this is a nice stuff, i like the Japanese pc platform, i will add this goodie to my panda.

Did you btw know that the Pc-98 emu (neko2) is no longer maintained by Cloudef?

He sadly never received his Pandora so he logically decided to stop working on Neko2.

I am posting this because i am wondering if you would also like to work on Neko II, its just a suggestion, i really have no idea how much work it is, or how much energy it requires.

Cloudef kindly sent me the following link which contains the source files:

Cloudef is still active on the forum, so if you are interested into working on it, perhaps you can send him a PM.

If you are not interested, no biggie, i am grateful for the Pc-88 Emu, tnx.
