Pyra Os and software?

  • Debian: kernel & packages
  • Awesome WM: lightweight, space efficient tiling window manager
  • XBMC: Media viewer & application launcher (instead of minimenu)
  • Emacs: File manager, Mail client, PIM, MP3 player, image viewer, document viewer, outliner, ... I'm forgetting something...ah, yes: text editor. :p

Yesterday I managed to get Pandian up and running on my Pandora. First thing I installed was Emacs 24. Second thing was ratpoison (which I prefer to awesome although awesome is not bad at all). I'm in heaven! :D
