Put Us Out Of Our Misery!

Or don't trust what the Chinese say anymore, so they're waiting till they're delivered to the factory

lol yea coz they've consistently erred on that side of caution before...

It's currently 5:14AM in Beijing, if a status report hasn't come yet it won't for a couple more hours at least. If there are people even still at the factory.

Maybe Fatih didn't report back yet, who knows. It can't be long till we hear something, I suppose :)

As far as I know, they just didn't do it.
The boss of the company told us last week they're trying to do it, however, the worker were already pretty much in holiday mood.
He warned us that they won't work as good as they can in that state which might lead them to rush the case (and therefore not setting everything up too carefully).
Before spitting out broken cases, he'd rather have them NOT produce them. We told they should really try to do it, but before getting broken cases, he should wait until the holiday is over (which is the case on February 22nd).

While I haven't heard back from Fatih or Craig about this, I THINK this might've happened.

I'd say: Let them enjoy their well-deserved holidays (they don't get much in China anyways) and let them do the cases without any rush when they come back in a bit more than a week.

I thought it was 2 full weeks, not 10 days... but I'm not complaining! I suppose a happy worker (say one who just had a big vacation) might put in a better effort than a stressed out and anxious worker.

so after the holiday are they just going to start production of the 5000? or just the 500 or 1000 or 1500? haha . . . . . . . or 10,000? :)

That's cool, it's probably better for them to just do them all at once, and do a good job of it. It would have been nice to hear something hours ago, instead of people guessing, and hoping for something that wasn't going to happen.

So 2 more months isn't out of the question uh? Thanks for the update ED, you are the only voice to calm the savage beast!

If we must wait, then we must wait.

I've waited over a year. I'm in no rush. ;)

True, in Hong Kong locals will be offered sometimes as low as 10 or 12 days annual holiday....

Thanks ED. The ironic thing is that people only get stressed and worried when these _tentative_ deadlines are given. I was always going to not be in the 500 so I'd resigned myself to wait another few weeks for the case to be churned out. It's better that they take the time and don't rush it with regards to the MP.

I had a feeling that this would happen but I guess it's best to have the better quality and care in the making of them. So is mid to late March a likely date for when we should start receiving our Pandoras.

They were unable to make all of the parts in time (in any numbers worth shipping). So they will finish the run on the 22nd+.

This just means that all the Pandoras will probably ship in a steady flow from then, rather than a small batch first.
