In anticipation of finally receiving my Pandora (Premium upgrade from Day 2 preorder to one with broken internal wifi), what are the suggested steps?

Updates / Firmware: http://www.openpando...emid=40&lang=en

Community / Software Page on openpandora.org: http://www.openpando...emid=35&lang=en

SD Compatibility List: http://www.pandorawi...patibility_list

Download Software: http://repo.openpandora.org/

Quickstart Guide: http://www.pandorawiki.org/Quickstart

Any particular suggestions beyond what is listed out there?

The WiFi-Less Pandoras should have HF6 Final installed, so no firmware update needed.

The stick should be plug and play then :)

Great to know; thanks ED!

Jourdy - I've been playing Vertex Blaster on iPhone (non-jailbroken) with iCP and it's a blast.

yeah thanks ED :) I was wondering if I was gonna need to flash mine first

This Quick Start guide seems anything but quick. And it leaves out one of the first things a new user needs to know: how to prepare an SD card! It's described in the unofficial user manual, in the section 'Installing a PND file' near the bottom. The summary of that section is, create these folders:

For better management of emulation, I like to add a fifth folder here called /roms. Inside this I create a folder for each system (gb, nes, psx, vectrex, etc etc). This keeps your ROMs in one easy to maintain location, instead of scattered throughout a bunch of locations in /appdata.

Add this thread to your reading too: http://boards.openpa...our-first-stop/

mine arrived with HF5 installed so you may need to update as well

Mine has not arrived yet after almost 7 days after I received the "shipped" email. I am a bit worried since I never received a UPS tracking number. If I had that, I could at least see the status. (I am in the USA.)

I wouldn't worry too much, its going a bit further to get to you. Took best part of 7 days for me to get a "priority" package from Germany before when I could have driven there and got it myself in a day, the annoying thing was it had partial tracking so I knew it had been in the Netherlands 3 days before I got it. Must have came the whole way by bicycle or something

Hang in there... it's worth the wait! :)

It arrived! The reason why it was delayed was because it was shipped AirMail instead of UPS, after I paid extra for UPS shipping. At least it is here. Now to get busy.

Good news! Congratulations. Enjoy your new toy :)
