Aw my Godness: :D

I found an Opensource RPG Maker XP and VX player for Linux like EasyRPG.

https://github.com/Ancurio/mkxp
So it's not a straight forward compile in fact.

I had to compile SDL2_sound (done),, libguess (done) and update Ruby to 2.1 (on going), even if it can be run with ruby 1.9, it's strognly advise to update...

After that, I suspect the packaging may be triky (because of that ruby binding).

But the way @ingoreis, do you have link to some free games to tests, in case all goes well enough...
Any little News of this, where you able to play on of these Games? ^_^

Still nothing. It segfault at start (of "finding...", didn't try any other). I tried to debug a bit but I'm not sure where it segfault (there is 2 thread, and one is ruby, it I think it's segfaulting on this one, but not sure). I used gles2 rendering also, as it is supported...

Maybe I have to try some other games you linked..

@ptitseb:

Someone may have requedted this earlier:

Would you care to try to make http://soldat.thd.vg/soldat work? I read someone made it work on arm utilizing wine. I didnt do any in depth research, browsing the interwebs brought up some foreign board entry from around 2008...

Someone wanted to develop an open source port, but that seems to be on hold since 2011.

Teeworlds https://www.teeworlds.com/, kind of the same game, may be way easier to port, as the source is easily available.

Ooh, soldat would be nice. I played that a lot in the past. Funny stuff, especially to play against friends.

Tbh I checked wether soldat was open source but could only find a windows install. Didn't think it would be possible to port it to Pandora.

Never checked teeworlds, might do so tonight

I already had them on my radar... plus some Q3VM in ARM I have seen that I wanted to test first before trying Q3Rally and Turtle thingy (and may be a couple of other games for q3a).

Hedewar I plan to use it with next Lazarus to test codeblocks using fpc.

An interesting project that I tried a couple of years ago just out of curiosity. If installed this gives the user the option to chat (even voip) and share files (encrypted).

"You can receive information like forum posts and files from the rest of the network, but you have no idea about the original source of the information. Retroshare's design ensures you have little idea of who is out there - it is just friends, of friends, of friends, of friends ad infinitum."

Interesting from a sharing perspective and because of changing policies regarding copyrights and privacy around the world.

This makes me think of 4chan for some reason.

I can have a look...

*EDIT* : FYI, use FMOD. So not a plug'n play port...
I think you mentioned in another thread that you were working on this.  Do you think it is something that might happen eventually, or should I look for other things for my Pandora?

Yes, I have that on my todo. But no date on when it can be done. Not sure if I try just a quick port or try to build a more proper wrapper around SDL_mixer (I'd like to start that, as it will make a few other port more easy, but it's more long / difficult to do)
