pomera e-ink typewriter

Oh, that was a disappointing reveal. To me a typewriter needs to have a half moon of little metal letter hammers above the keyboard, or at the very least an IBM golf-ball print head.

Junk island keyboard = fail. They had two things to get right. Keyboard. Display.

I quite like the look of this. It reminds me of the folded keyboard from the old Palm devices I still have, and that I keep thinking about trying to figure out how to turn it into USB to use with a Pi with attached display :)

Those already exist - if you can find them. Good luck chasing them down. If you're talking about the old quad-fold think-outside keyboards, I have three of them. Found pictures of similar - I think mine are different brand labels than these. Likely the same assembly line.

e-ink screens are considerably more expensive than color LCD
In the dozens of dollars range, not hundreds. I doubt this is an e-ink vs LCD thing, more likely a small company with niche market (like the Pyra) thing.
