I am going to tell you a story. When I was 14, there was a game called
The Realm.
This was the first MMO I've ever played in my life and I enjoyed it more than anything Video Game wise. One day, my 56k ISP service decided not to work. Because I couldn't play an
MMO I developed a stomach ache almost instantly. I had to take the day off of school because I was addicted to a video game. At the core of this, I am addicted to electronics. Over the years, I have learned to develop a thicker skin and can tolerate waiting to play or get certain videogames/gadgets. I've played World of Warcraft and easily walked away from it, because I've played things like that for awhile in my life and I've had my fill.
But the Pandora is a device I have been waiting for, for maybe the past 3 years. I only found out about the Pandora maybe 6 months ago, but since that time, a switch flipped inside of me. That says I MUST get this device. And now that I've pre-ordered, it's like I haven't had anything to eat for 6 months and I just placed my order for food at my [Favorite food place], only to be told, "It's being prepared, please wait two months...possibly more. But we promise we will give you scraps of part of your entree as we make it."
To sum things up, I, and I'm sure many others, are starving. I come to these forums to ask others how hungry they are and see if we are in agreement.
Though I did realize something over the weekend.
Click Here! For those counting, their are ELEVEN (11) games coming out within the next two months that I really want to play. So I have more than enough things to occupy my time.
My problem is, I am at work and I've finished my work for today. I've read all the news on the net today, Ars/Engadget/Giz/Joystiq/XKCD/PA/Kotaku/D'toid/Cyanide&Hap/Slickdeals/Fatwallet/woot/hackaday/etc..etc.
I've pretty much devoured these forums and the only real interesting topic is the reverse eng SGX thread. I've been reading Cisco study material, but I take a break every 30 pages, because their is a monkey on the back of my head saying, "CHECK THE BOARDS!"
