I recently installed pianobar (a CLI Pandora radio client) via PanDebian and it works pretty well except that the audio becomes very choppy if I use any other application while listening. I've tried increasing the process priority with no luck.

Has anyone seen anything like this with applications in PanDebian?

Thanks

I haven't used it in PanDebian, but I'm working on using it natively. I've got it compiled, just having some linking issues...

Glad to hear that is being worked on. I used to listen to Pandora radio on my Pandora Console, but Pandora Radio made their web site so graphics and animation heavy that it became unusable - it would overrun and crash Firefox.

Looking forward to it!

Well, I've got it compiled and running, but I can't login. I get an "Error: Unknown"...

I'll post an strace or whatever if anyone is willing to help. I'll probably bang my head on it a little while longer in the meantime...

I had to cross compile a C based JSON library along with libao, after which pianobar built no problem. I set the libao config to default to alsa, and pianobar works great!
