Don't tell me this isn't related to Pandora because it looks a bit like an Amiga and Pandora emulates Amiga...

So, I've only just heard of these machines and just wondered if anyone else has one or what they think about them:

Basically it's a PC...in the shape of an A1200! I reckon it's really cool there's just one problem - it's fairly pointless. And it only has an Intel Graphics card :-(

Other than that though, if I had loads of spare cash I would buy one.

So, thoughts?

I think suggesting it's not unrelated because it vaguely looks a bit like an Amiga which the Pandora can emulate isn't quite right :p I'd call this Off-topic...

Ah well, it does look interesting though a little impractical, it's like a fairly powerful laptop, but bulkier and minus the screen :s

Yep. I'd rather get a small upgradable desktop PC. Typing on that thing shouldn't be that comfortable, I guess.

I think this should be in 'Other Consoles'

Oh; the thing? ... Its bloody awful. How you can compare it to a beloved A1200 is beyond me.

I like the idea of a return to old-style computer form-factor. Plus the idea of not having this huge box under my table is lovely. I just like the look of it....if only I had money to burn :-(

^ Esthetically it looks quite nice, I agree :)

I'll switch from laptop to desktop for gaming when the next upgrade is due and it might be something like this:

Oooooh, I like the way they manage to 'tetris' it all in that cube :p Looks pretty cool :D

These make sick web browsing computers. It's no quad-core, but it does have semi-decent graphics. Ion (GF 9400) should play relatively old games quite well. Anything off GOG.com, really...

And I'm sure most people here would like it simply because there's no OS tax. ;)

Am I alone in going for bloody huge cases, so they're easy to work in and don't collect dust?

The Cybernet Zero Footprint PC resembles this Asus Eee Keyboard PC due next month, which doesn't have an optical drive but has a small touchscreen. It's intended for home theater use, I think.

No wonder it doesn't have any Commodore logo or color scheme!

If it comes in beige and has a Commodore logo - I Will Buy It, install linux/uae, pretend I'm 15 again and probably have some sort of breakdown/mid-life-crisis.

Yeah, what a laugh. Call it a Commodore! People will buy it!

I was daydreaming about these things last week though. Imagine if they added a C64 on a chip, some C64 game ports, maybe a SID chip, and a few other touches. It wouldn't have to be integrated too heavily with the main PC component, if at all (think Amstrad MegaPC) but it would validate the branding and have huge collector appeal. Sadly it's easier just to slap a badge on and sell it to saps.

If I wanted a mediocre PC in that form factor, I'd get an Eee Keyboard. http://www.engadget....nd-launch-date/

[edit] oops I just called Miner49er a sap. Sorry.
