Hi - I just got my GP2X and although I can run the Quake demo after downloading a PAK file I can't run the full licensed version because my Quake CD doesn't appear to contain PAK files - only files with names such as QSW101.1 through 7. My CD is an original from when Quake was first released on CD - is this the problem ??? Do more modern versions use the PAK format ??? Anything I can do other than buy a modern copy ???

Thanks,

Jez :)

No fool like an old fool ... after a quick install on an old win98 machine I found the relevant PAK files !!! Thank goodness it has a CD burner !!! ;-)

Cheers,
