Magus 86 posted on Sep 16 2005 at 06:34 PM said:Yeah, I prefer wired controllers to wireless ones cuz I can play whenever the fuck I want without worrying about the batteries not being charged, and also because the maximum range of Nintendo's next brilliant abomination's controller is 15 feet.
Well, IGN say that "Also, if you're wondering, there's no set limit on the distance one can use the remote yet, but Nintendo has tested it on up to 80"-100" screens and says it works fantastically."
Magus 86 posted on Sep 16 2005 at 06:34 PM said:You know damn well Nintendo's gonna charge at least $40 for their awesomely "innovative" controllers.
Do we? Any facts? That's, what, $7.50 more than a pad for a console and an extention lead that has been out for nearly 5 years? Quite good, I'd say.
Magus 86 posted on Sep 16 2005 at 06:34 PM said:You'll have to spend probably another $15 on that dumbassed analog stick and trigger add-on.
I doubt you will, but who knows. We don't, yet again you speculate the price in order to create some sort of sensational spin on how NINTENDO IS TEH RIP-OFF!!!11
Magus 86 posted on Sep 16 2005 at 06:34 PM said:In addition to that, I don't think the NES controller is "a piece of genius," but it's definitely practical.
I agree. Practical for games 15 years ago. And hey, if you turn the remote on it's side, it becomes a NES pad. That's what those lower A and B buttons, and the D-Pad are for.
Magus 86 posted on Sep 16 2005 at 06:34 PM said:No, it's not a pointless "innovation." It's not an innovation at all, you idiot, it's a recycled gimmick from at least 15 years ago. It was a gimmick back then, and it's a gimmick now.
Nintendo made mistakes, and the Power Glove was one of them. So was the Virtual Boy, but when people bring them up to compare to the DS and the Revolution it's hillarous. Surely it shows Nintendo were ahead of their time, and trying something new? And not an innovation? Your opinion, and a pretty black and white one at that.
Magus 86 posted on Sep 16 2005 at 06:34 PM said:And it won't make the games more fun or easier to play, so it serves no purpose. It's a useless recycled gimmick.
Have you played it? Nope, don't be so sure it won't make games more fun to play. And as for being a usless recycled gimmick; I beg to differ. Something different, something exciting, and guess what: something I'm excited about.
Magus 86 posted on Sep 16 2005 at 06:34 PM said:It's what Nintendo's been doing since they made the N64, and I'm fucking sick of it.
The N64 forced the console race into 3D, brought rumble packs to the mainstream, and of course, the analogue stick. These things may have existed before then, and I'm as up on gaming history as anyone, so don't try and tell me about I-Robot in the arcades, or the Saturn pad etc., but it was the Nintendo 64 that changed the face of gaming. It's hard to disagree with that point; it was one of the most important consoles ever to grace the Earth.
Magus 86 posted on Sep 16 2005 at 06:34 PM said:If you have a problem with me calling things as they are, then you can go ahead and have yourself a nice big bowl of shit.
You see? When you say 'things as they are' you're putting forward your opinion as fact. It isn't. Also, your offensiveness is pretty hillarous, you can't make a post without calling someone a jackass, when they don't agree with your ignorant views can you?
