New email from craig, watch out

Holy crap, what have I been missing out on!?

I saw the email, panicked and came straight here. What's happened with Craig now?

I didnt get the e-mail at all. Was it only to existing pre-orderers perhaps?

Or is it a false e-mail?

Just when you thought the situation could never, ever, possibly get any more insane. BOOM! It gets worse!

Meh, fuck him. The last little shitty things he can do Pandora wise. And then we're rid of him for good. I feel sorry for the ICP2 crowd that they'll be stuck with him for quite a while longer.

Better for ED too that this helps remove even the last little bit of doubt about Craig's morals in life and any incling that he should help him. If I were ED I'd pull my hands of him completely including the assistance with the ICP2. Maybe even tell GC to steer well clear.

We'll never know. Why he's finally doing this right now is a mystery.

It seems like he's trying to quit OP business completely and as quickly as possible.

Maybe because he's managed to dump all his customers to ED, cannot get any more money from OP Ltd., or cannot pay an important bill addressed to OP Ltd.

After observing this soap opera for some months with a bit more care than I used to earlier, I really think a voluntary liquidation would have been best for him for a long while already.

Lets hope the people who settled for CC units get them from him... probably not, but we can hope.

I saw the venom, and the endless warning signs posted up across the board about him. No wonder why his prices are cheap, and to think I was considering buying a pandora from his site.. to be quite honest.. the thought of other people who pre-ordered.. not getting their's is sickening. I've always wanted one yet I never had the funds.. So to think that he is selling off what was meant to be for others.. is.. well I say the quicker he's out.. the better, If he's going to be "Binning" the parts, that seems like a waste.

strange I didn't received that mail...
(Neither did I, maybe this is targeted to people who have actually received something from him at some point... i.e. people who might actually order something still?)

I did receive the email, and I'm one of those who received a Pandora from him about two years ago.

Cheap things are tempting, but I just don't want to do any more business with Craig at this point. But you know, I wonder if ED needs any of this stuff that Craig has. One could buy a bunch of this stuff and then send it to ED as a donation or "at cost". I guess it would be easier if it was someone who got the email who also lives in Germany (I don't know if such people exist).

Send him the cops instead ;^) .
Well, if I send him an invoice he doesn't pay, I can report him officially, if need be...
So the agreement you had was that there would be no invoice if the repaired Pandora was used for its intended purpose, but that there might one be otherwise?
I just hope everything's okay legally, as we know that Craig is usually very good at avoiding legal problems.

Well, having preordred from Craig back in 2008 and never recieved a Pandora, this makes me feel a bit better about the decision I made a few days ago. I ended up ordering a 1 GHz unit with the voucher that ED offered, which gave a bit of a discount. The way I looked at it, at least by going that route it would be as if some of my origional payment were "re-invested" in a 1 GHz Pandora to bring the cost down. Now I actually have a Pandora in the mail on the way to me, and I can finally be done with this saga of never knowing if I would get what I paid for. I'm glad that ED was able to offer us origional pre-orders from Craig a bit of compensation.

He's good at making people (and himself?) believe he's good at things.

This works as long as you've got options.

That's why voluntary liquidation would be the best option now, compulsory liquidation is a lot more stressfull, bothersome and annoying, even if the outcome were the same. Assuming things in the UK work even remotely like they do in most other EU countries...

Someone on the icp2 kickstarter page has posted a link to an archived page of Craigs old website where he is selling porn cds! I remember when a few members were saying how untustworthy Craig was a long time ago, i thought it was sour grapes but they've been proven right.

Just had a look on GBAX and there is one fully working unit & a handful of slightly faulty ones for sale.

Is the email just trying to sell those units?

How many repaired CC boards did you send back ED?

A few days ago (before he sent out the mass email), he wrote on his site:

Since the dead PCBs are not selling even for 2pounds(!) I'm spending time on a few a week seeing if I can bring them back to life.

Once I've emailed interested people about the working units, if they don't sell, I'll then add them here.
I don't know how that tallies with the email, or how it tallies with the fixed boards ED sent him, but it seems relevant.

Prices look good, but as ED says the batteries might be a bit old - anyone shed any light on whether or not I'd be advised to buy one?

Here is what's available with suggested prices, you're welcome to make an offer.

Once these are sold that's it, no more is available.

Dead PCBs = £2.

Dead units (PCB, case, LCD etc.) = £35

Batteries = £3.50

Battery back panel = £1

General case parts (black), whatever you want or the whole set (or as close as we can get

as parts get used up) = £5

Fully working refurbished units with a dead nub (new silver case, LCD cable, extra battery

and carry case while stocks last) = £99

100% Fully working refurbished unit (new silver case, LCD cable, extra battery

and carry case while stocks last) VERY FEW OF THESE = £120

Other semi-working units = £70 - £99 (various issues, units which will only charge via USB,

units with broken dpad directions, broken keys, broken audio channels etc.)

You're welcome to make offers and if after a few days there are parts left then I'll get

back to you.

Shipping will usually be £6-£10 to most locations.
D.

The two batteries I got with my CC unit a few months back seem to give less than 5 hours of gaming each (800Mhz, wifi off). The main website claims 10 hours so that's a bit weak.

I think all funds raised by this should go into the preorderfund.

But that's not going to happen I think.

I wonder if ED might be able to use some of that stuff. But looks like Craig would rather sell it for pennies anyway. I noticed the "A grade. Brand new" screens for £20 on GBAX before (which seem to be sold out now).

Well, for 3,50 Pound you can't do much wrong with the battery, but as mentioned, it's from the first batch, so years old.

It's nice as a replacement, but don't expect full battery time with it.
