New blog by me! Give me attention! Give me attention!

I really should be following our candidates more, seeing as I'll be voting next year.

First real blog post!

The video it's about has gained 4,000 dislikes since I wrote the blog post about an hour ago.
I didn't watch the video, I must admit, as it sounded vile to me, and deserving of the high number of dislikes it's reported to be getting.

What you wrote somewhat reminded me of an article I saw recently, though. It was this one here (which also has a follow-up linked at the end). You might find it to be an interesting read. :p

I can't believe I forgot to mention this parody video in my blog post. It's much more intelligent than Rick's original version:
The sad thing is that if SOPA goes through, Rick Perry could easily demand that parody video to be removed from the internet under some dumb rule.

Is it only me, who dislikes aggressive advertising on new websites?

Using adf.ly links on your blog? Are you serious?

The video is well over half a million dislikes right now. Well, if the guy plays it right he can at least get some advertising revenue from all those dislikes :p

Those fundamental Christians are really a bunch of dickwads.

What, do you think things become famous by chance?

I think he was referring more to something like this:

Actually, I'll have to agree, too much advertising for such a new blog with such a new and little audience (though I don't agree that adf.ly links are inherently bad). For what it's worth, I've removed the adf.ly links for the last 3 videos (the ones I recommend watching, funny responses to Rick's video). Is that better, or does it still seem like too much (e.g. are the AdSense ads too intrusive)?

Well, what bothers me most are the linkads.

The other ads and the overal layout made me think, I was on hackaday at first ;)
