As already said, I want to Volt Mod my GP32 BLU. Up to now I can Clock to 166 Mhz stable and 168 "stable" (= crashes sometimes). I bougt it from gbax.com and already found out, that it is already modded a bit.

Normal GP32:
R52=200k
R48=470k
1,25*((R52+R48)/R48)=1,782V

My GP32:
R52=300k
R48=640k
1,25*((R52+R48)/R48)=1,835V

First I planned to use the plans from Cobbleware and go to 1,95V directly (R52=100k/R48=56k), but after I found out, that it is already modded, I think a bit more would be needed to see a differnce. How far would you go without being in danger of killing the CPU? What resistors would/had you use/d? Do you think >2V can be used? (10% more than allowed would be 2,145V and these 10% are used on PC CPUS, too.) Please dont tell me anything of the "trick" with a pen. I want to mod and not to kill my GP32. Thanks

I think you can set the voltage safely at more than 2V. Because if that weren´t so, the Pencil Mod would have killed most GP32´s instantly.

(Or maybe the pencil Mod killed a lot of GP32´s already, but their owners are too proud to admit it) :p

I have a additional question: Shall I use resistors with more or less Ohms? When using for example 200 kOhms and 470 kOhms OR 20 Ohms and 47Ohms, the resulting Voltage is the same.
