last time i bought a-data one off ebay, and after few months, it literally fell apart
so i need a good quality, 4gb sd card, that wont fall apart and ships to england
also compatability issues, with some on ebay are also deterring me away (not being listed on wiki at all)
is the samsung 4gb/oem sd card worth buying -

and completely avoid SDHC right?

the best deals is kinda outdated, some are selling for 50 quid on like page 50

Be careful you don't buy fake ones. There is a page somewhere explaining how to tell. Those are the ones which tend to be slow and fall apart.

I bought two Topram 150x cards on Ebay, and they both work great :D

And as a bonus you get a free usb card reader.

I bought both a 2gb and a 4gb and they both work great in the Gp2X :gp2x

I'd suggest this card (and for the future, this store has good prices on other cards):

The card I got was blue, not black, but I don't think that's too important to you. Also, they list the price in GBP there with other currencies, so I'm betting that means they ship to the UK. I found a few decent deals on Amazon, but the prices on non-generic brands are pretty much the same as that website.

I use a GP2X MKII with FW 3.0.0 (value package), and I haven't had one problem with the card yet, so if you find the card doesn't work with your GP2X, update your firmware. Avoid SDHC cards for now, but I've found some information (http://www.pentaximaging.com/customer_care/show_firmware?firmId=7717497) that I believe shows that SDHC can be added to a regular SD device, if the manufacturer wants to add support, but I'm betting GPH doesn't have any major incentive to add SDHC to their firmware, since 4GB SD is probably more space than most people ever need. And don't buy a card that doesn't have it's speed listed, because having a high speed card (like that 150x card I suggested, which really means about 20 MB/s read/write) is really crucial to making media and gaming as enjoyable as possible.
