Hello community

Im a new Pandora owner since august 2012. i got some ideas to make the pandora a little bit better. i'm also ready to support this. i'm also one of the people who are own a 1 ghz unit.

At first i've seen a netbook from a friend, which got a tablet function like this.

when the 1 ghz project will getting good then how not to make the pandora like this ? i do not know if it is possible to make a gravitation function in the pandora but its only a suggestion.

the second suggestion is to make a navigationsystem to the pandora with help of a gps usb stick. my imagination is to develop a navigationsystem with java or with linux shell script. we can use google maps with donations. we can buy the license and use this as an aid.

evildragon can sell the gps sticks in the dragonbox shop and post the link for the software in the discription. later can the community report jam messages or radarcontrolls but its only a idea.

i hope somebody will use this as a inspiration.

I am pretty sure this is patented and would only help to increase the cost. Note: I'm not saying I don't want this : )
Got an old Lenovo X60t and it's awesome. OK it has the added benefit of a built in Digitizer. Now _that_ would be another killer feature, like Galaxy note or Asus notepad. But again: the costs! You have to draw the line somewhere, or you end up with something super exclusive that almost nobody wants to afford.

I was allready navigating around germany with the help of navit (through pandebian, uses openstreetmaps) and a bluetooth gps thingy.

Worked pretty well for me.

yeah i know thats sad. but like i said i'm ready to support this because i like to support ideas from other people and the science especially when its open source stuff.

@steveway

can you make a spezial thread about it ? did you allready make it ? when not can you send me a message about when you done it. i think many people will be happy about it :)

here is a first start for you... I own a Bluetooth-GPS but never got a propper signal... I hope you will have more luck (If so... please update this wikipage!)

And please think about OpenStreetMaps as steveway already mentioned, I for my part think that its way better than G-Maps, more detailed, ah and open : )

Nah, I don't think that I still have this installed on a card anymore. It's pretty simple, just compile Navit and install gpsd and then you are good to go. There are many tutorials on the web, maybe someone can even make a pnd.

There are pnds somewhere with navigation software. I've had proper navigation running with the pandora connecting to a bluetooth GPS module. I'll check on what I used as soon as DHL gets my package to my door.
