Maybe another way for M$ to get money out of people.

Usually use yahoo messenger, Although i haven`t used it in ages.

It actually lets you shake people's screens. The ultimate annoying spam from annoying chavs that keep adding me!

I hear there's also a big kiss thing and enormous emoticons.

If I installed MSN 7 I'd have to block half of my contact list :( Unless, as I'm hoping, there's a way to turn off nudges.

Trillian is superior to MSN Messenger. Full stop. And yes, the nudge is probably the worst idea from Microsoft yet. Actually, there was Windows 2000... :p

I use Win2k, Its more stable that the two laptops and a single desktop i have with winXP on, Plus the Win2k machine is on 24/7 and used more than the others. ;)

Oooh, those nudges sound terrible, nasty *screen shivers with fear*. That just confirmed my belief that I shoud continue to use Trillian.

Windows Messenger, comes free with windows, is small and compact, sits tidily in the tray, what more could you want?

Tried MSN Messenger a while back and thought it was the worst messenger ever. I've never seen such a bloated pile of poop.

Trillian is nice, specially if you have friends on multiple IM networks, but I have noticed that sometimes I type a message to someone, and it never appears on there screen, but I don't get a notification of failure. Seems to happen mostly when the other user is marked as away. Didn't like that, so junked it.

i still use trillian 2.x because it fits better in my style with the skin...and the skin caused big problems with Trillian 3.
mhh wait, actually, right now I'm using kopete, cause I'm on linux  [=
works good, no useless stuff, just IM at its best

I also noticed that problem ... eventually. After a long time of being 'ignored', closing and reopening the window, then finding my contact perfectly talkative, I ditched the thing. I also got forced to upgrade Windows Messenger.

Using MSN Plus after getting bored of Miranda.

I've never experienced this, so perhaps it's something they've patched since you stopped using Trillain.
