Heya - just wondering what advantages you get paying for Moviepark as apposed to using the free GPcinema - larger codec compatibility, BLU bug fixed, etc.
WRONG - Yes Moviepark is "old" but it's far more flexible in terms of codec handling, albeit at a lower framerate, than GPcinema. Moviepark is no longer available.
GPCinema2 is looking better in terms of codec flexibility.
OH MY GOD OH NO I WAS WRONG ON THE INTERNET. I never said shit about codecs. Practically everyone uses GPCinema now. It's better speed-wise, and GENERALLY speaking, that is what people are looking for. That's why I said "GPCinema is where it's at". Sorry if I ruined your "I can't wait to tell this guy on this internet forum that he's wrong jesus christ that makes me feel all fuzzy inside" moment.
I think that GPCinema is just fine. I haven't used Moviepark, but it sounds like it is ok with a few more codecs. On the other hand, it can only have so many frames per second. There was some pretty decent discussion about it here if you're interested. My advice is to just try out GPCinema. If it's not good enough for you, I doubt Moviepard would be.
