ive been playing a class little game for the pc called minecraft its about 40mb in size and isint realy musicly are graphicly advanced, and was woundering wound it be possible to get it running on the caanoo

Simply no. Maybe a clone, but then someone would have to code it, and that's entirely dependent on someone wanting to code it.

I believe AAAA will have a "Autism Mode" though, which would be something like Creative Mode.

@mark-s, maybe graphics aren't advanced but minecraft eats a lot a lot of cpu and ram. So to be honest Caanoo couldn't run Minecraft due to lack of performance.

well there is minetest (http://celeron.55.lt/~celeron55/minetest/download.php) but one will requiere to port irrlicht first...and good luck with that :(

If you are lucky to reach Notch, the creator of Minecraft, you could ask him. He plans to make a mobile Minecraft (without Java) for Android Phones. IMHO it is more likeley that this port could find a way to Caanoo or Pandora instead of the big PC Java version of the game. However, Minecraft Mobile is made for the Sony XPeria Play and exclussive for a while - but not forever. ;)
So when Android would run on the Pandora, Minecraft would be some day too, at least the mobile version.

There's an open source Minecraft clone for the PSP. Looks very well made, http://code.google.com/p/lamecraft/
I have no idea how hard a port would be though.

Completely off topic, someone's coding a 3D Minecraft clone for the DS. Looks pretty damn good so far, http://gbatemp.net/t300847-minecraft-ds-in-3d?

I bet Quassist and Don Miguel could make a badass Minecraft clone!

wow, not bad. if even a NDS is capable to handle such a game, we really can hope that our Homebrew Handhelds get a decent Minecraft Game. Our Coders are at least as good as DS Coders. ^^

This. Minecraft on the PC requires an insane amount of hardware for what it is; though enormous fun it's badly written and written in Java to boot so there's absolutely no way in hell it will ever run on any handheld of this generation. Minecraft on the Xperia Play is just a stripped-down clone of Minecraft Classic and therefore uninteresting - classic is so far out of date now it's just a joke.

Considering what minecraft is it should run very well on anything that supports GL - so there may be hope yet.

D.

Dear sir,
our Adamant Armor Affection Adventure has AUTISM (MINE CRAFT GAME MODE) from the beginning. ;)))
To play it, you should find a secret disk at the very first TUTORIAL LEVEL to unlock the Autism game mode (Minecraft Mode).

BTW, Thank you for your vote.
It's very nice to see how a complete game with some different secret game modes (even with different gameplay / textures / levels)
got such a great place in the competition.
