Are there any phones that let the user use the GPIO ports ??

Would be best if it had open sourcos OS , and support the GPIO control with the hard-ware ??

Any ideas ??

The only really "open" phone platform out there is OpenMoko. According to the Neo1973 spec sheet, it does have some sort of GPIO functionality built in, but I didn't read far enough into it to see if it's hooked to an external connector or only available for internal mods. The only other open source phone platform is Android, but unfortunately the openness ends with the software. OpenMoko is probably your only option.

:( :( I knew about the "openess" of the Neo 1973 , the newer version is FreeRunner but it doesn't have any keys only the touch screen , it has 2 3d accelerometrs but the 399 $ + shiping to Poland would be about 450 $ and thats really expensive so mb I will just buy GP2X and use the led port ass a GPIO port :( :(

Thanks
