linux kernel 3.3

So Linux Android merging, on a non dev level what's good for end users? Any benefits for Pandora?

When hardware manufacturers write android drivers, they will also be writing Linux drivers. The inverse is also true, so making ports massively easier.

Easier to run Android on a P1, easier to run Linux on a P2.

(as android says, this isn't really going to happen for a while yet.

well so far it's mainly just drivers with the exception of ashmem

nothing much to report in reality, and would only benefit the pandora if it used kernel 3.3+

Plus I think you will need a version of android that's not out yet 5.x jellybean, ice cream sandwich is a modified 3.0 kernel, not sure how it would act with backwards compatibility

but it's still happening, and this is the first step of many
