Linux Is Too Unfriendly

I need to characterize the GP2X hardware ,
then create a DIY cross Assembler
using QEDIT editor in WXP , cause the so-called
tools are a maze path , leading no where .
They merely bait you into learning how to
bloat s/w ..
I dont bloat , i do structured , tiny reusable code.
with all executable code integrated into the
kernel , so its easy to disassemble and figure .
My code is always easy to follow , for the structure.
I can replace Linux in 200Kb . And it does NOT boot
it merely images ! In 2 seconds it is ready !!
The image has NOTHING to do but RUN !!
----------

I cant find an in place , resident GP2X assembler .
( like old MOT' 68HC11 "Buffallo" ROM monitor )
To cross assemble is asking for trouble and
delay !
Besides , assemblers dont need to
be complete , they only need to have the essential
op codes . Thus they are tiny about 4 KB !
In minutes i can create my own instant directives !
Since i created them , i wont be stopped for a manual !

Dont fight it , all existing software will be tossed and
replaced with an integrated kernel .
Every executable is in the kernel .
JPG to MPG to MP3
.. permanent in place , instant
assemblers .
No docs needed , no manuals ..
No folders no files no "mounting"
no command line ....

I need a starter . I need a code tool thats inside GP2X .
I will create it if needed . You can have it free , then
you can assemble from the USB host port using a mouse

Have you ever tried assembling / coding with only a mouse ?

ha ha ha ha , say go'bye to Linux !!

werty @swissinfo . org

BTW My 3.0 GP2X is garbage firmware , ill need to flash it back to
the older firmware ...

Linux is my friend, perhaps you should get to know him better ;)

Anyway, maybe a crazy, over-ambitious technobully* is just what we need...

*a oldschool hacker whose skills are supposedly so leet that they will not accept less than their idea of perfection, resorting to assembly hacking tactics to get what they want, thus spending countless hours while everyone else is out enjoying what works already.

The man codes in machine language, using nothing but a mouse! Left button = 0, right button = 1. It only took him 204,800 clicks to replace the entire Linux Kernel!

I think we have a true genious in our midst.

P.S. Either werty's a real 7-year old, or he really is a good programmer. The Mark V Shaney thing was incoherent babbling, but this message, while ludicrous, makes sense as a whole. And it's about the GP2X. Writing a script to generate such a message is hard work.

We've encountered him before, it generally does come out as incoherent babbling.

Wow! ALL existing software?
I just took a look into the archive... 1,054 Files, 3.283 GB

So he's gonna put 3 Gig and about 900 files (the rest are skins, etc.) into one 200kb executable that boots in 2 seconds from the NAND?

That man is a genius! I demand Guru status!

EDIT: Wow. Just read all the posts werty ever made (you can do this via the member profile).
He's better than a Guru. Each post is better than the whole LOL!-Section :)

Well, he must be sane - he's figured out that the 3.0 firmware is garbage, which is right on the money :)

:) yep, sigged :p

I agree here ;), he is one smart qwookie:

BTW breakout board is not needed for USB hub , U can make everything yourself .
Im installing a better EXT connector .

It could be a Mark V Shaney :), nothing a good script couldn't rip from our forums. Besides, people are inclined to believe things they have said when repeated back to them. Forum bots, the native-soul-stealing cameras of the 21st century :).

Edit: According to the wiki page on Mark V Shaney, I think those techniques will work better on a forum like ours because the discussion is highly technical and focused on one specific device anyway, so anything a script will throw out will be comprehensible for the most part, unlike this singles.net thing.

I agree. I do not like Linux. I have Windows XP running on my GP2x, at full speed. I can play Half-Life 2, Quake 4, etc better than on my desktop PC, and I don't ever have to type anything in at the command line.

Down with Linux!

What is your problem? It takes no time at all to compile my Gen2X kernel everytime I want to play a game! You must been turned off by Feisty Fawn or Eager Beaver or one of those other damned Ubuntu-easy installs. Yeah, sure. GPUbun2X is purty, but it doesn't really teach you about how GNU/Linux actually works on the GP2X. Also, development? Forget about it... unless you're running Gen2X. I average about 30 wpm in my IDE through the joypad text-entry system. It's chorded with the buttons and is a dream to use. Let's see your little brown Ubunpoo do that!

LOL Wtf!!?!? Excuse me for not being around here for a while. I checked other posts and saw this. Has the gp2x world gone mad? Think I will also stick a rocket on the back of mine as well then.
My GP2X will have
1) HDD*2
2) an ATAPI DVD burner , a cable to my
3) 17" LCD , a cable to my
Linksys "G" wifi

and 20 softkeys around the GP2X LCD ..
There is nothing slow about the ARM engine, it
will replace the IBM-PC and Microsoft !
