ive seen battery packs that are the same size at 2 AA and are set up the same that are ment to take the place of 2 traditional AA's , my question is, Does anybody use them?
I remember that there was talk about this a while back, but I don't remember if anyone actually tried it. I did try Energizer E^2 Lithium though, I think those held out about 2 hours longer than my rechargeables. They're expensive and not rechargeable though, so I didn't buy them again.
If you can get a flat Li-ion battery (eg for a mobile DVD player, etc), and use a step-down regulator (to 3v), eg the TI board; you could have masses of playtime. Make sure a Li-ion battery has a protection circuit, or you could end up with a granade if you leave it on charge for too long!!
