I remember having heard or read somewhere that some members of the OPT went to Korea some time ago, but I don't remember the reason for that trip.

Anybody here knows?

ED will arrive in Korea on the 17th and will stay there for a few days, GPH invited him.

IIRC it was some kind of a convention in Korea where Craig, Fatih and ED met each other, that was when the whole idea was born.

I think ED is checking out indie games to help woo them to our favourite indie handhelds as well, which can only be good for Wiz, Pandora, Dingoo etc.

They were all distributors of the GP2X and were invited there by GamePark Holdings. There's a goofy photo floating around somewhere of them at a fancy dinner table...

He said that even if he did not go to Korea he wouldn't arrive before the 22nd, because 1. he has to teach in Munich every Friday and 2. as Michael takes his flight on Tuesday and will start his work on Wednesday, he wouldn't have anything to do before Thursday/Friday anyway.

I thought the factory was shipping some boards (500?) with the WiFi resistor already patched in?

Regardless - where would ED be more useful, breaking some LCD cables - or persuading more indie developers to port to/code for the Pandora?

Korea is fantastic. I'm so jealous  I'd love an excuse to go back there.

Yes, but they still need to be shipped and probably also won't arrive before Michael gets there.
So I'm missing like three days of assembly.

Korea is awesome. Who wouldn't be inspired to make something awesome as the Pandora over a Korean meal. Unfortunently, the Soju looks missing.

If there was Soju, they would've convinced GPH to make the GP3X the way DaveC wanted, and this all would have been avoided.

I'm just going to stop trying to understand what's going on with the boards. Keeping up with the cases was hard enough.

They have to redo such a Picture. :) This Time also with MWeston in it. After they've done the 1. Batch, a big diner should finish the Years of blood, sweat and tears. :D

Oh Soju, the drink that puts you into blackout drive and makes the brain hurt the next day.

I don't think GPH was ready to hear any of it regarding the Pandora and seeing how the F200s successor was the Whiz.

Bring on Pandora!

Soju is like Vodka. You can buy good and bad stuff. If you get a nice brand, you can knock back a standard bottle to get you fairly tipsy but you won't feel sick in the morning.

I think I'm allergic to any alcoholic drink other than beer, headache/hangover the next day. But while I was in Korea, we developed the combat Slurpie which is a trip to 7/11 in Seoul and a trip to the Soju selling shop, mix 50/50 and consume.

I know of no drink that's ever had me black out so bad as soju, its vodka on crack.
