I just went out and bought a network card, since I don't feel like using my sloooooow USB adpater on my network (especially since I am going to be transfering 5-6 gigs of stuff on it soon...), and I stuck it into my computer. Now I need a way to convince my dad that I didn't risk killing myself (yes-he really thinks that I can kill myself w/o even touching the PSU) when I was installing it, or he might do something to me

Anyone have some good ideas to convince him 100% that it's perfecly safe if I don't open the PSU (which I didn't BTW ;))

PSU stands for power supply unit?

Just tell him you unplugged it. Or were wearing gloves. He wasn't watching you do it, was he?

PSU = Power Supply Unit, yes :)

No, he didn't see me doing it :)

And he wouldn't be convinced by that either.... He thinks that the power in the PSU can somehow explode or something when you open the computer ;)

If I can't think of anything else to tell him, I can tell him that its some software that compresses things b4 they go over the network, and I never opened the comp ;)
