I don't normally do this, but your appalling use of the English language is really starting to bug me now.

Ok this is a stupid question but I've tried several tutorials on the net and I can't seem to be able to do it, so if anyone has any advice please help. I want to set up Visual Studio .NET Pro so I can write programs in c++ and compile them for the gp32. I have devkitarm (I think its called that) so does anyone have any advice, because I really want to try and start writing some programs for the gp32!

Hey, I think I understand what you are saying  so I'll try to answer your question.

DevKitARM is development package for the GP32 (if you have the extra library installed).

You said you have got DevkitARM right? Have you followed the tutorial on the site? You must download MSYS also. Then after setting up DevkitARM you must download additional Gamepark libraries for DevKitARM.

You do not need to use VS.net to develop for the DevKitARM compiler. But if you still want to, to my knowledge, generalnmx has lots of batch tricks for you to help you with your problem. ;) Search the forum cause I know I saw some on here before.

Thank you for that.
As you see, Aldur, not everybody in this forum is english or american (me, for example), and can easily understand your slang typing, so it would be nice of you to write/type like a normal person. So I at least hope you can do that...

EDIT: Oh I forgot about the topic... if you wanted to show us something  , well, you did...

ok first off i would like to apoligise for my terrible spelling etc earlier however the school bell went as i was making topic so i had to type really quickly. I wont do it again honest! second i have got devkitarm, msys, and mirkos sdk, and the offical gp32 sdk, i have read the help on the website but i am unable to get it working anyway, i will try again and as to using Visual Studio .Net Pro i would like to use it as it will be easier as thats what i use to do all my programming on! So if anyone could point me in the direction of those threads with tips to use it i would be greatfull. But back to the topic could you please explain to me in the simplist terms possible how to set it up.

(note to ksmiler: did u get my e-mail if so please reply)

There are setup guides on http://devkit.tk and also a more simplier one on http://www.thaworx.co.uk/ninja/tut1.htm (ignore devkitadv) for setting up for Windows development.

First thing you have to realize is that Visual Studio .NET is for programming on x86 platforms - you can't change the compiler (to my knowledge). Therefore, you will need to compile manually using a command prompt and/or batch file. If you make a batch file, you can also use an "External Tool" (Tools->External Tools) to call the batch file. However, that is more preference and not required. Visual Studio .NET will be more like a supped-up text editor then a true IDE for GP32 development. That said, I use it and prefer it ;)

I am a bit confused. Do you want to make Visual Studio compile GP32 code for you? Or, do you want to use VS as an editor for your code and then compile it with DevKitARM?
First option... not sure if it is possible.
Second option:
http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?showt...=Visual++Studio
Use some batch files to compile your stuff. I havent used it so I have no idea how these batch files work :p
There is another way but I forgot how. Has something to do with DevKitAdv though (Help me here people  ).

Personally, I would advice you to get a program called SciTE for your devving. Its really easy to use (if you set it up right) and also free! Unless you got your VS.net for free too <_< (Could be legit though ;) ).

Nope, I didnt. Will check later to see if it has arrived.

Don't use those particular batch files unless you want to experiment :D They have no way of checking if a file has already been compiled.

Other IDEs are Eclipse and DevCpp (I managed to set it for DevKitAdv but lacks flexiabilty in the building process). You can also use Text Editors with syntax highlighters such as ConText.
