Well since I havent seen anyone talking alot about Java on the pandora (correct me if im wrong), I thought how about pushing in IcedTea in the distro at shipping?

So people can use java apps from start :)

Or is there any kind of java VM support in it now?

I'd really like to have either IcedTea/OpenJDK, VMKit or JamVM on the Pandora. Let the Pandora devs choose; the faster the better.

Yes, finally someone who also wants it.
It will be great to have it, oh so many things ive missed out due to the lack of full java support on my Nokia N97 and previous phones.

JamVM is already in the Ångström Repos. Celebration can begin early.
...but even though JamVM has gotten splendid reviews, it isn't really über fast, nor is it the fastest thing out there. I would much prefer if we were to have a proper JIT-ing JVM with dynamic inlining etc. Possible?
