Jonn Blanchard released a gp2x-Port of Hex-a-Hop, a puzzle game by Tom Beaumont

Hex-a-hop is a puzzle game based on hexagonal tiles. There is no time limit and no real-time elements.

The objective is simply to destroy all the green hexagonal tiles on each of the 100 levels. As you progress through the game, more types of tiles are introduced which make things more difficult and interesting (hopefully).

No, each game has its merits. Sometimes homebrew versions of games can be better than their tired old versions, sometimes not so. What game is this based on, out of interest?

This is a good game for a play every so often. Needs polishing a bit, but good. Puzzle games are nice and fun.

I agree with you here, that comment truly made me sad :(

This game is really excellent, I enjoy it a lot. Similar to Xump with hexes and some added mechanics later on.

If the author reads this thread, I'd recommend for the future:

* Sound effects (unless it's just me? There's no sound yet, right?)
* Map the "Undo" key.

Other than that, I love it, thanks Jonn Blanchard :)

Oh FYI if you stupidly select the "Fullscreen" option, it crashes.

A new version is due imminently (which, as everyone who has played my ports knows - means anytime before the apocolypse).

Really the praise should go to Tom Beaumont who made the original, I did the relatively simple task of porting it.
