Please I need a little help / advice - my brother in United States Coast Guard (24 yrs service) is getting stationed in Saudi Arabia .

He has been informed to set up a VPN client . He has passed this task onto me to help him out while he packs up to leave,

so any and all help / advice is appreciated . Thanks for your time Bud :)

He needs a unristricted , safe, secure connection . like he has here in the USA ..

Alot of military in that area , says it is a must have.. Thanks Bud

I don't want to support the military. Does he need it for personal reasons or for his "job"?

There are VPN providers around; for instance, non-USians can use a US VPN service, and thus route their network through the US; this is how non-USians can get US Netflix :p

That sort of service is pretty inexpensive, and would more or less get your man the US internet, with security, from anywhere. Its like $5 or $10 a month or something.

edit: here, check this random lifehacker article:

The first one is $7/mo or $40/year .. pretty reasonable, and you can pick your exit node even
