Help Me With Some Market Research

Would you visit a living retro gaming museum?

Some questions about it. For longer games, would you have some kind of saving system, so you could come back and play again from where you left. A bit dodgy with out emulators, but that would be against the point. Would it all be seated, so you can play for an hour with out getting tired. Would you be able to transfer hours to other games/consoles, like a swipe card idea.

Hi,

Yes you would be able to hire (and for us to store) memory cards/tapes/floppy discs etc for whichever system, or bring your own for saved data.

It would all be seated stations with light refreshments available.

Yes, you would be able to swap your time to other games/systems.

I am sorry to be vague but I don't want to give too much away at this stage.

Yeah, that's cool, just helps me decide!

I don't get why people would want to.

Why not just play on an emulator?

If you want a real feel, just fail to load [from tape], reset halfway through and have loong load times :/

Ha ha yes that's so true, but all part of the nostalgia.

People like to see and play the actual hardware too, and the physical community presence - some place different and unusual to visit and waste time with friends.

Yeah, that's what I would do, go down with a couple of friends, something to do when in town.

To be honest, I'd be pretty interested in something like this. Depending on how far away it was would be how frequently I'd visit. So I answered as if it were moderately far away. There is already something like this near where I live. Sega has a huge arcade in Columbus, Ohio. Which I've visited twice already in the past couple years, and it's a 3 hour drive one way from my house.

If there were a place I could do to not only replay arcade machines, but retro consoles, computers, and other retro tech, I'd probably go once a week if it were in my town.

Especially if it had other cool stuff like a VR Cave, and a Lan Party area.

this would be cool. I've traveled over 20 miles when I was bored last year to visit Play N Trade locations (with hopes of finding antique used consoles) so I would travel to visit a place like this.
