I have read that the Headphone problem with the speakers not switching off apprently only happens in the first edition. Does that include Second Edition Mark 1? Because it seems people always say that the Mark 2's do not have this problem.

The only reason it happened on the MKI was because of a bad solder joint. It's really easily fixable with a little application of heat from a soldering iron. AFAIK MKIIs were manufactured from a more reliable manufacturer and thus do not have random cold solder joints.

So it can happen on gp2x's that aren't mark II but aren't first edition either?

yes, "first edition" realy mean nothing more than its one of the first units, there where some slight differences betwene the gp2x all the time, but huge changes only happend with mk2.
If you bought one from gp2x.de all thoose minor problems should be fixed for you allready, if not just resolder it and add a dip of hotglue on it.
