HDTV out cables

^ The Pandora doesn't output component (RGB) just composite or S-video.

You would have to hack into the signal that the screen itself uses - so there is no user friendly way to get a digital signal out.

There is only the USB DisplayLink to get a hi res desktop but it's not good for gaming from what I understand.

Or, to put it more bluntly: No, there will never be a TV cable hack. For it to work, you'd need a video subsystem mainboard hack. That'd be a bit more difficult.

You would need to steal the Digital signal going from the LCD to output VGA or HDMI and to output either of those you need to have the support circuitry to do so(Surface mount ICs and such)... so it would be a huge endeavour.

Also to note If you ever had a Phone with an HDMI port with a similar SoC as the Pandora (Droid-X in my case) it actually blanks out the LCD to drive the HDMI port, because it can't drive both at the same time.

Woah cool Idea for using Pandora on TV a

Pandora DisplayPort Adapter to HDMI....

BeagleBoard?
Is there the Same Display Port?
Can i buy a Display Port to HDMI Adapter there for the Pandora?

Coooool i must search there.

Have they the same Pins?

Get this and you're ready to go.  HDMI and VGA.
It still doesn't give HD.. it just allows you to display SD quality video through an HDMI or VGA cable.  You can never get a picture better than the original source.

Need more Energy for that,
Need more Place for that,

Need many many Morey for that,

Need more Nerves for that,

And only with Analog to Digital converting cannot the Quality be much better.

This Machine is not for me ;)

^ @ingoreis:  It's not for me neither.  I'm just saying there are solutions out there....

The only way to get a better picture on a modern (ie flatscreen) TV would be to buy an expensive external scaler made specifically for the job - either an old line doubler/line quadrupler that outputs a HD VGA signal or something modern like an X-RGB that gives a more CRT-quality appearance over HDMI, but no other adapter (giving a HDMI or VGA or component out from S-Video/composite) is going to offer an improvement on direct connection.

Tell that to the scale2x/2xSAI/super Eagle/what evar devs ;) (http://en.wikipedia....i/Image_scaling)
Just point them my way and I'll tell them they are wrong.. those types of scaling do an impressive job at what they do, but in reality it has no more substance then what was given from the original image.
