Why doesnt somebody make software that us guitarists can use to tune our guitars too? It could just be a list of tuning types (standard, Drop D) that you could select and then it could just do a tone of the correct tone and pitch. Its a simple program that could be done quickly acording to Chris from toxicbreakfast (GPkat) but he doesnt have as good guitar skills to make it and im not a programer.

A little offtopic question. Is arm ASM a faster programming language to use on the GP32 that c/c++? Ive been puzzled with all of the people saying that their gonna change their core to ASM.

You must not get what im saying, it would make the sound as a reference that you would tune your guitar to , not a little guage thing that says what note it is like the tuners that you buy at a store and dont work very well, cause like the great poet bill clinton said "if you want it done right, do it yourself" :p .

ASM is practicly machine code... It is faster than c/++ if you are veeeeery good at it, becuase a human can do some low-level tricks to speed it up that the compiler might not see when the compiler is converting to ASM.... And the core is the part of the emulator that emulates the actuall processor, so if you code it in ASM well, the emu will prolly go a bit faster.

Don't know if I am on the right board, but the N-Gage has a very good Guitar Tuner (with audio input) <_<

sounds like a cracking idea to me, been thinking about this since GPChord was released. What would be really nice is some sort of midi player as well to use as backing tracks.................

You don't need a guitar tuning software. You need 6 mp3s with pitches corresponding to the guitar's strings....a little more if you want alternative tunings...

cant you connect a small microfone to the EXT and let the processor convert it to sounds... should be possible?
