Can't wait till I get my gp2x; lots of problems to solve, and who doesn't like a challenge? I've been researching the various hardware part of the gp2x (something to do while waiting) and stumbled across this movie demonstrating the power of the usb controller chip used on the gp2x, I think alot can be achieved with the gpx2's usb connection in the future... after some ironing out...

Interesting...

Also, I found an interesting artical about the processor used at this address.

There's one conclusion for me... "come on" GPH come up with an usb IDE harddrive utility... that would be sweet... Hopefully the gp2x scene has years of development ahead of it, who knows what you developers can achieve... Good luck everyone.

I don't see any difference between doing what they show in the video and simply using a dual endpoint, but over multiple LUNs. Both would provide the exact same thing - for example, you can create 20 harddisks quite easily using either method.

Yeah, but I think the point of this movie to to show how a usb controller with the low power consuption of NET2272 can handle large(ish) amounts of data. It impressed me, but then again I'm easily impressed... I'm new to deeper technological realms of IT.
