If anyone tried any SCUMM game on gpScumm by Ph0x, please write down which game work and which doesn't. I tried Zak Makracken 256 color TownFM vesion and seems it work
Acually sound is emulated, but there are some noises so Ph0x decided to turn it of for this release. Maybe in nex release sound will work. Maybe he even add mp3 support for sound (supported in original SCUMMVM).
well big problem......i have downloaded the new scumm emulator....but i cannot get it to work.
ok....i have a korean gp32...i have the launcher to run homebrew games.
-i put the scummvm.fxe in gp:\gpmm
-i put the game data files in gp:\
i did this....then when i ran the emulator for the first time...it comes up with a menu listing several games....so i selected the one i have which is Indiana jones and the fate of atlantis...it came up with HALT!
so i rest the gp32 ran scumm.....this time the menu shows no games...so i click on add game.....and it freezes everytime.
so my question is....all my game data is in a folder called atlantis...am i putting this in the wrong place...i tried it with out the folder and with the folder....also i tried putting it in gp:\gpmm....still no luck.
The author know about this bug (disapearing games) and he said it would be fixed in next version. The oproblem that some games hang. Hmm. I found that actually games names or to be more exact the games resources has diffrent names than those in gpscumm. You can choose a game and press edit. When i tried Monkey Island 1 in gpscumm there was monkey1 and my resources name was just monkey.* so it caused a problem. After renaming resources name to that from gpscumm the game has launched
Well, Zak Mckracken FM-TOWMS works very nicely on the 1217 version...
... Until it becomes necessary to get at the bottom row of items - the cursor doesn't go down that far!!!!!
If you don't know what I mean, try running the game on gp32 for a bit, and eventually, you'll find that, although the game itself works fine, the items have problems with a fey things. Like being used.
