Steve-O: That's a great price, is is the same/similar stuff to what I used, i.e. can it bond to plastic? I might have to nip into Wilko' and have a look round. I *think* Halfords may also sell the stuff.
DJWillis: I've not heard the term key before, but I presume you mean did I rough up the surface before applying the spray? Well, all I did was give it a good clean, I didn't make the surface any different than what it normally is (smooth basically).
I don't think there is any need to do so given that the Plastikote I used is designed to bond with another plastic surface, at least I think thats what I read off the official website. After a few coats it sorta bonds to itself anyway.
finity101: The left button (Start button) has a blue LED in it, the right button (Select button) has a green LED in it. If you can hold out till tomorrow you can rad my guide that covers the type of LED and where I got mine from
Also: When I was at work today, I noticed that the LED's both started flickering very quickly, gradually they slowed down, until they were blinking on and off (very wierd I know). What was cool, is that this was the battery running down. My mp3 was still playing fine, and the screen was displaying correctly, but it seemed that the LED's got affected first!
I must say this was rather kick-ass, I had ~1 minute from when the flashing started before the screen eventually started to flicker and the audio became crackly, then my GP32 turned off. I know some people used to get a similar thing with the FLU, whereby the light would flicker so you knew your batteries were failing, thus you could quickly save a game, etc. With my BLU however, I havn't noticed such a thing from the backlight, so having the LED's pulse on and off (and I mean pulse, was quite funny having it do it in the office!) for 1 minute before the battery died (at 66mhz) is pretty darn cool methinks.
Oh, and the LED's are not as dazzling as the pictures suggest btw. It seems my camera picks up a haze effect from the LED's in the evening. Here's a bit of a pic of one of the LED's during the day:
