I was wondering if its possible to load dls files into the gp32 memory, and use them for midis with the ports. So say someone makes a port, and the game uses midi for music. They could use somebodys extra code to use a custom dls files so you can have wavetable midi.

I know that dls is more for developers, and there is alot of code online to do this, but is it possible to do this on gp32? Or is the 4wav poly gonna prevent this?

Wavetable Midi?

Sounds like a Modplayer (Light)

With ModPlugTracker (ModPlugPlayer) you can convert MIDI to IT/S3M

If you write your own ModPlayer can change volume of each channel at runtime/playtime.
In a PRG:
Actionscenes: drums louder, higher play speed
Nightscenes: no drums, some background sounds
