Hi,

I am trying to compile Warehouse Panic for the GP2x (in Linux), but i am having a lot of trouble. Is there anyone who can lend a helping hand?

What i have tried is download the SDL libraries from the archive, but since there was no compiler, i used the Wiz one. Set up the compiler in codeblocks to use these libraries, and i can compile, but when i run the program, it freezes the GP2x.

I have an F200, so debugging isn't easy. Can someone help out here? Is it totally crazy to use the cross compiler that came with the (unofficial) wiz toolchain, i thought an arm compiler was an arm compiler :)

Thanks in advance

/Uni

dont have an f200 (wiz is my first gph console) - but maybe the open2x toolchain works? http://wiki.open2x.org/open2x/wiki/index.php?title=Toolchain

Hi Crow_riot, The link doesn't work for me right now, but i tried the Open2x toolchain, but there wasn't any SDL libraries (right?)... or did i get the wrong one? I will try the link again later when i get home.

That's the source code, you don't want that..

You want to install this and then and then this.

Be sure to delete the .zip from the end of the filename to leave you with just .tar.bz2. It is to get around a limitation of the server.

I'm also using Codeblocks ( i love it :) ) under Window$ and i use the latest Hw Accelerated SDL libs by SenorQuack and Open2X Team .
Take a look here ...Hw Accelerated SDL libs ...

For a quick debug i use this in my *.gpe scripts on F200: add &>file.txt at the file of the game.

example taken from my latest port KETM
Code:
 #!/bin/sh
 ./KETM_2x &> stderr.txt
 cd /usr/gp2x
 exec /usr/gp2x/gp2xmenu

so this create a file with the SDL messages of error...if any

Thanks for the help. I will let you know how i fare. Farox, aren't you suppose to have a 'sync' before going back to the menu, which writes the changes to the SD card? (I'm no expert, just what i normally see).

You are right ...a Sync command is necessary ... :) ( i'm not an expert too ...as you can see :D )
