Just checking the GP2X UK website out and wanted to make it clear for myself and others about the following items being compatible with the Pandora?

GP2X TV Out Cable - Is the EXT port the same on the Pandora as the GP2X?

GP2X Carry Case - Could the Pandora fit inside this case? Or are you working on down the line a Pandora case with logo on?

Official GP2X Games Vector and Payback compatible on Pandora? - I can't remember if i saw somewhere on here that they weren't compatible I would like official notice of this! and if possible could they be ported to it fairly easily or a patch to enable these to work?

GP2X Cradle/Breakout Board
- Obviously the cradle part wouldn't fit the Pandora but are the connectors in the same place (for the lazy like me to look!) to saw off some plastic to enable this to work with maybe some new drivers or would it be plug and play?

Thanks

AFAIK the Payback developers expressed their interest in porting the thing to the pandora.

Vektar'd totally depend on Craigix's license from Dzz, and I'm sure if need be Dzz could be hunt down...

I'd say hardware-wise there will be separate pandora accessories, not use of the GP2X ones BUT I'm not a hardware dev...

GP2X TV Out Cable/GP2X Cradle/Breakout Board - Not compatable (EXT port is different), but there will be SVideo, composite out and USB Host from the Pandora anyway, so no need.

Vector and Payback - Not compatable. Maybe they can be ported later.

Thanks for your answers guys, so basically I can buy any TV Out cable that fits the new EXT port or is that custom made as well so will I need an official Pandora cable?

Also regarding the cradle, does the USB host mean i can use any 4 in 1 USB adaptor for 4 player USB controllers?

Thanks again for the info, I really hope they will update the other 2 games to work as well.

I believe they're shipping with the correct cable this time... unless you need spares, you shouldn't have to :).

It'll be custom made, but it's been stated that it'll be included in the box.

Yes, you can plug a hub into the Pandora and get 4 USB ports. Nothing specific here, any generic USB hub should work.

Wow double excellent news, so even though the Pandora is £80 more than the GP2X I'll save £10 on the TV Out cable and £30 on the hub if i pick this one up effectively making it only £40 more!

Thanks again for your answers.

Edit: Oh one final question! If I'm starting to get my joypads now, do they have to be USB 2.0 or any USB pad will work or specific ones?
Also if I buy PS1 controllers and use a USB-PS1 convertor will the Pandora recognise it as I see its fine on WinXP as that recognises them then as USB controllers or is that out of the question?

If so does anyone have any suggestions for joypads? I see stuff like this on ebay, but looks a bit cheap but maybe it'll do the job?

For a controller it does not matter what version USB it is using, either will work. This goes for both the controller and the psx to usb adapter- google the specific model to make sure no one has problems with it running under linux.

I hope they tweak the camera angle so you can see a bit further. I tried the gp2x demo..... Driving at high speed and only being able to see 3 meters in front of you gets pretty annoying.
