In fact it's a mod of the PSP Thunder Power Pack, with an addon piece that makes it fit in the GP2X battery slot.

It's been designed by a GP32Spain user, named JoJo_ReloadeD, and distributed by Anarchy (the owner of gp32spain.com and hardcore-gamer.net).

So I suppose it's hard to distribute it outside Spain, as it's not an official GP2X product.

You can take a look here: http://www.hardcore-gamer.net/tienda/produ...roducts_id/4697

The words "giant, huge, clunky, expensive, and hideous" come to mind. I'd rather just carry extra batteries. I've seen this before when it first was talked about. If anything I want my handhelds to be smaller, not larger.

Yep, but I added a single AA to the back of mine (inline with the 2 already in the tray, the battery clip on one end of the tray pops out so the third can be wired inline).

That enabled me to achieve 6:15 on the battery test, so it is cheaper, a single cell holder is only $1 at Radio Shack.

Downside is that you need to put in battery clips in (no need to open the case, no voiding warranty), and arrange your batteries into sets of 3 (either to charge in sets of 6 or get a charger that charges single cells).

Thanks for the info - though to be honest I agree with reaper79. Why would you want something so clunky which also takes so long to charge. My UNiROSS 2500mAh charge in 90 minutes and give me between 3 and 5 hours playtime, and it's no hassle having a spare pair as they fit neatly in the case.

I love this line: - 'It's and ideal stand to watch films on your GP2X, as the console sits over the battery.' What a great way to turn a negative aspect (its huge size) into a positive.

I don't understand? My 2x2700mah AA's = 5400Mah? Even if it supplies 3v not 3.7 (can it step the voltage down?) that pack is still under 4500Mah? I guess something to do with the type of battery, i'm guessing its a lithium pack?

But yes, I would rather just have an extra 2 AA's in my pocket, and I can charge all four in 90mins.

mrsnature, your batteries are in series, which means the "pack" is still 2700mAh, but with double the voltage (in this case 2*1.2v).

As you say, I just carry extra batteries with me.
That or use my "home made" stand (pics to be posted soon :) )

If you ask me, I wouldn't buy one myself, as the only advantage is the battery life (11 hours) if you see a long film.

But with my Duracell 2650 mAh batteries I get 5:25 of battery life, enough for any film that I'm going to watch.

Ahh I'm so dumb, in my defense, I even corrected someone else a while back who made a similar calculation! :

I always have a spare set of batteries with me. So with 4x 2700mAh batteries I also have around 11hrs of playtime with me. And everything fits into my gp2x protective case.
