Google Aindroid

It was neat trying it on my n800, but before apps get built for the platform it will be very difficult to give a good idea of what the platform is like. The release that I have on my tablet is 0.8 (I think), and doesn't have some of the apps that will be released with 1.0.

It probably wouldn't be good as a default distro for the pandora, but it might be fun to have as a second option to boot to, or to be able to launch from within the Pandora OS, similar to how it is handled on the Maemo platform.

You'd think that was the case, but the new plans really are special. $25 for unlimited data and some text messages (doesn't say how many) and $35 for unlimited text and unlimited data. With the cheapest voice plan, you could have a G1 with unlimited internet for $55 a month. I'm paying twice that with Verizon right now.

I believe you get 400 texts on the $25 plan. More texts than I'd need, really, if I had unlimited 3G data. Since my phone just has a WAP browser, though, the $5 a month internet works for me!

Seeing Android on the Pandora would be pretty interesting, but I agree that as a default OS it would leave much to be desired.
