whether its a good price or not it's still cheap
plus you wouldn't have to wait for it to ship like you would on ebay

Funny u mention that Nerd i just got a 7" LCD and a SMS2 ;) wink wink nudge nudge u know what im doing :D

EDIT:i , i forgot to say what you are doing...

you are going to learn how to program for it and make a bunch of naughty "novels" for it arent you :D

hehe...

is that a widescreen 7" lcd?

cuz i had a damned spiffy idea for a gcp...use a widescreen lcd in place of the keyboard in the gc keyboard controller... B)

but is 30usd a good deal? (i'm not gonna portablize it B) )

also...it MIGHT just be more worth you while to get the cartridge connector from the sms and put it in the place of the cartridge connector on the game gear...that is the EXACT same machine as a master system only with a larger color pallet  and then you have the lcd and all that jazzjust pop in some white leds and PRESTO: LOW POWER DRAW SMS ACTION!!!1111 w00t!!111 the backlighting on the game gear is a joke...no reall, look at it some time...VERY low tech... :( my led modded psone lcd is pretty damned spiffy as well...5" nes on the go :D

the problem is i was moving the cartrigde connector (replacing it with one from a game genie...) and i goobered 2 pins that go to the vram...so it loads the wrong tiles  but the games are playable...and audio is fine too...just a 5 hour soldering job ahead to figure out what is wrong... damn...not looking forward to that...BUT, smb3 on a 5" lcd would rock...my friend who taught me every secret there is to know abou that game commit suicide recently...and i have wanted to play smb3 (the REAL game..no emulation) ever since... :(

wow...that was alot just now...

so IS this a good price?

Nope standard 7" no widescreen and it is so damn easy to mod its not funny :) it can run really well on the powerside prob better than the gamegear LCD

But i HATE the gamegear the screen is a passive matrix screen and its very blurry plus u can't have 2 players on it :(

but have u tryed to play sms on that screen? its WAY to small with the SMS resolution u can't read text and most game are not very enjoyable on it cause of the size.

I think i can get the LCd running between 400 to 600mA :)

besides making ya own portable is half the fun :)

but $30 is a bit of a ripp off god it cost me $5 $10 max for a sms2 down here and about the same for a sms1

but it all depends when u want it.

Try a flea market :)

wow...all i can say is: i fucking hate nebraska

the master system wasn't too popular in the us...so are probobly 3 in nebraska...

ebay to the rescue!

my next question is: are the 3d glasses worth it?they sound very gimmicky...but that is always very fun...

I had the opportunity to buy a master system with 17 games, 2 controllers and light gun for $20 at a flea market, i passed, KICKS SELF IN HEAD, $30 is steep but its a shop, if you have patience and go to flea markets and garage sells you can get better for cheaper, but for a shop, thats about what its going to be anywhere. I've been collecting for almost 10 years now so I know what i'm talking about, usually.

i hear that! i LOVE garage saling! when i was 8 or 9 i was searching for an atari 2600...my parents had one and had to sell it because they are losers... <_< ...and it sounded damned fun to me...so we are at a garage sale and i spotted an arari with several )40ish) games...i walked up with my mom to ask here and she is all like "he was wondering how much your atari was" and the lady at the sale was all like "5 dollars, but for you honey (speaking to me not my mom  eew!) a dollar" i about wet my pants when i heard that...when we got it home and all set up we plugged it in to find that the reset switch didn't work...DOH! a quick trip to radioshack for a soldering iron and i was in business :D w00t!!!111

then i got a fairchild channel f system at a sale for 5 bucks...with several games...that rocked...my friends neighbor keeps trying to get me to sell it...i keep having to tell him to piss off
