I have been wondering why do people put glass screens in the GP32 ???
Plastic seems to be alot safer it will not shater into loads of sharp bits if you have an accident

(edit:probably would have been better in marketplace)

glass will look sturdier
is that the only advantage ? probably not worth upgrading screen then.

and... AAA what have you done to my head???
you talking about my pic ? I did remove a little writing but the original is like that its supposed to look faded into the background but I think the low res makes it look crap

It is done for a few reasons.

First glass is clear and un-tinted like those plastic screens. The plastic screens on the Nonlit and FLU are tinted blue and the screens on the BLU are yellow. This causes innacurate colors and actually makes the screens a bit darker (lets less light through).

Also the plastic screens have that blue/yellow tint shit that streaks up and flakes off making the screen look just plain terrible when you attempt to clean it. With glass it cleans much better avoiding those awful streaks and smudges.

Another thing is that plastic is soft and gets all scratched up from cleaning/use. Glass is much harder and much more resistant to scratches.

Me personally, I would not have a GP32 without glass. the first thing I did when I got mine was to put glass in.

not as hard as you think. if you follow the disassembly guide in www.reloded.com, you can just replace the platic screen with the glass one.

so a new clear plastic screen would make more sense since I can get a sheet cut to size for under £1 it will be 100% clear and I look after stuff so I dont think it will get scratched. if it did get scratched I could get another bit cut :D

if I get some money I might send in my gp32 for glass and volt mod when it comes out and a button tune up seince my membraine is dead(It works but makes a lound crack sound when I hit A but not w/ B and A sticks)

EDIT: and once I get a paypal account/you get another payment meathod

Well the volt mod won't come out until a while. If you don't have paypal, you could put the cash, moneyorder, or check.

I'll be sending mine in real shortly for a glass mod. I trust you will do a good install, since you seem to have had issues with the one you recieved.

After the hurricane here in the USA's deep south is gone, I will get on this ASAP.

shouldnt that be rite about now for the huricane?

anyways, its 7 dollars for the screen and how much for US shipping? 4 also?
so 11 dollars

THEN...
someone pointed me to you because he said you were making cheap chatboards in the US? well, how much unit / how much shipping and can we request cord lengths?

and finally, the screen gets sent to us right?
we dont have to go to you?

Depends where you live, I could ship the glass screen and the chatboard to you for about $5, I would need your state and zipcode to get the exact price.

The shipping method is USPS 2-3 days, insured.

I could send the glass screen to you.

The chatboards will cost $29.99, the length of the cords is 12cm.

The price would be $41.98 total.
