Do you think there is any possibility of GemRB being ported to the Caanoo? I know it is already working on the Pandora,
GemRB on Pandora I would so port the thing myself,
except I hardly know any coding. I am learning C++/SDL though.

Sure.

I already ported it to Dingoo. Not yet released because of some minor bugs in GemRB/SDL_Sound plugin.

VNC-Session recorded GemRB on Dingoo (little bit slow because of VNC server running on Dingoo)

But first Python2.5 has to be ported to Caanoo.

Wow, that's really cool. I can't believe someone got that working on the Dingoo.

How exactly are the graphics, text and interface handled in these games? They are VGA games, so running at one quarter of the resolution (320x240) has to require some serious optimizations and compromises.

It'd be pretty cool to have BG1 on my Caanoo though, as long as it can be played as intended using the touch screen.

It looks really nice on the dingoo :)

For python 2.5, is there a version directly on dingux, or is it a port?
If it is a port, I would be interested in getting the sources modified for the dingoo. Maybe I could try to recompilate it on the caanoo.

Edit : Ok, A little googling showed me that you ported python to dingux.
